AnMed Health END Technologist in Anderson, South Carolina
SUMMARY
The Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist II is responsible for all END procedures including but not limited to EEGs, Evoked Potentials, OR Monitoring, EMG, and all END corresponding functions.
SOME SPECIFIC DUTIES MIGHT INCLUDE
Acquires basic knowledge of normal brain and neurological anatomy and function, disease state encountered in END practice, electrical patterns of the brain in normal and pathological circumstances, other diagnostic aids and operating principles pertinent to electronic instrumentation and the spectrum of END procedures performed.
Apply suitable electrodes on predetermined measured positions on the patient’s head and check their performance
Calibrate and adjust the EEG apparatus.
Maintain technical aspects of Electroneurodiagnostic equipment.
Select predetermined electrode combination as well as special combinations made necessary by the case under study
QUALIFICATIONS
HSD/ GED required
Registered or registry eligible in EEG and/or other neurodiagnostic specialty desirable.
Two years’ experience in END preferred.
Experience in digital EEG, ambulatory EEG, evoked potentials, and nerve conduction studies desirable
