The incumbent is to serve as the Receptionist for the Madison County Prosecutors IV-D Child Support Program. The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of receptionist functions.

DUTIES:


Answer incoming telephone calls by operating a multi-line telephone system and then providing assistance to the caller by first determining the nature of the call and then either giving information as allowed by the State Child Support Guidelines or by directing them to the appropriate person or agency that best suits their needs, should the call need to be routed to another IV-D staff member, as a courtesy, advisement of who the caller is will be given before transferring.

Greets numerous clients and visitors to the IV-D Office, first determining the nature of their visit and then either providing information as allowed by the State Child Support Guidelines or directing them to the appropriate person or agency that best suits their needs.

Gather pertinent information from both the custodial and non-custodial parents and document the receipt of such information in the ISETS System.

Verifying the completeness of all applications received for services, rejecting them for incompleteness, if necessary, attempting to locate the paternity affidavit for each child on the application and attach it to the new application if located, routing new applications to the appropriate staff member in accordance with the breakdown of the IV-D Offices policy regarding caseload distribution.

Scheduling and rescheduling appointments for Custodial and Non-Custodial Parents.

Gather mail daily from the IV-D designated U.S. Postal mailbox and distribute it to the appropriate staff member in accordance with the breakdown of the IV-D Offices policy regarding caseload distribution.

Prepare numerous file folders and labels for all new assignments/applications after the appropriate staff member has built the case within the ISETS system. Upon completion, return such file folders to the appropriate staff member in accordance with the breakdown of the IV-D Offices policy regarding caseload distribution.

Generate copies of all necessary documents for Custodial and Non-Custodial Parents to pick up, i.e., Applications for services, Petitions to Modify Packets, Direct Payment Affidavits, Fin
