V2X is seeking skilled Civil Engineer Leads to oversee and manage all Civil Engineering (CE) activities at multiple SSPARS contract sites. The CE Lead will be responsible for implementing and maintaining preventive maintenance programs, managing real property and infrastructure, coordinating emergency and routine repairs, and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. This position will require strong leadership, project management, and technical skills to support mission-critical infrastructure and facility systems. The CE Lead will report to the SSPARS Site Manager and will be the primary point of contact for all civil engineering-related matters at their assigned site.

Responsibilities

Major Job Activities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage a Preventive Maintenance (PM) program for Real Property (RP), Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE), and Weapon System Infrastructure (WSI).

  • Maintain accurate records and inventories for RP and RPIE, ensuring updates in BUILDER, NexGen IT, and other Government databases.

  • Coordinate 24/7 emergency repair response and prioritize routine repair requests to ensure timely completion.

  • Coordinate civil engineering work tasks with host Civil Engineering functions, tracking progress, costs, and priorities.

  • Maintain and update maintenance manuals, warranties, and supporting documentation for RPIE and SSUPS.

  • Ensure compliance with Air Force Instructions (AFIs), Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs), Engineering Technical Letters (ETLs), and other applicable standards and regulations.

  • Manage, plan, schedule, and estimate costs for all civil engineering work using NEXTGEN IT (TRIRIGA), RSMeans, and other project management tools.

  • Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair site utilities, including water supply, plumbing, wastewater, electrical, and HVACR systems.

  • Conduct safety and environmental reviews for all civil engineering work tasks to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

  • Coordinate and support CEMIRT activities and maintain SCIF facilities according to certification requirements.

  • Oversee landscaping, roads, and grounds maintenance to ensure safety and compliance with site maps and wildfire management plans.

    Material & Equipment Directly Used:

    US Space Force (USSF) classified and unclassified computer systems, AutoCAD, drafting software, construction site safety equipment, surveying tools, and engineering measurement devices.

    Working Environment:

  • The role may involve working in office settings as well as outdoor environments, including exposure to extreme weather conditions.

  • May require extended hours or weekends to meet mission requirements.

  • Some travel may be required to other sites or for training.

    Physical Activities:

  • Ability to lift and move equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Frequent walking and standing, including walking across construction sites.

  • Bending, crouching, and reaching to inspect equipment and infrastructure.

  • Sitting at a computer for extended periods for planning and documentation.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent technical experience may be considered.

  • Relevant certifications in civil engineering, project management, or facilities management are desirable.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active DoD Secret security clearance, with eligibility for Top Secret clearance.

    Experience / Skills:

  • 8-10 years of experience in civil engineering roles, with a focus on infrastructure maintenance, preventive maintenance programs, and project management.

  • Experience with military or government infrastructure projects is preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, NEXTGEN IT (TRIRIGA), BUILDER, RSMeans, AutoCAD, and related software.

  • Strong understanding of facility management, utilities, and preventive maintenance.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and lead a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
