Global Credit Union Real Estate Loan Center Originator II in Anchorage, Alaska

Functions Supervised:

Primary Functions:
Originate real estate loans.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure members are provided timely and accurate information on the credit union's real estate loan programs, handle member inquires related to real estate or mortgage loans.
- Answer all in-coming calls as necessary pertaining to real estate and mortgage lending. Provide back-up in the telephone queue.
- Maintain current in-depth knowledge of real estate lending regulations, policies and guidelines. Maintain current general knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, policies and guidelines.
- Originate applications for in-house real estate loans.
- Manage a pipeline of up to 25 active loans, closing 8-10 loans per month. Consideration will be given to the market conditions in slower seasons and minimum pipeline and closed loan requirements may be adjusted downward at managements discretion.
- On approved files, work closely with the real estate loan processor throughout the loan origination and approval process to clear loan conditions in a timely manner, ensuring a smooth and efficient closing experience for the member.
- On declined files, advise the member of the decline and issue refunds, returning documentation as necessary.
- Promote Global Credit Union real estate programs and cross-sell credit union services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, with advanced industry courses in real estate lending.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education:
Two years responsible real estate lending experience or one year at the loan officer. Advanced industry courses in real estate lending recommended.
Experience/Skills:
Good written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. A thorough knowledge of all aspects of real estate lending including all applicable laws and regulations.
Tenure:
RE Loan Originator II, Category 12, requires twelve months in the RE Loan Originator I position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.
