What can you expect? As Project Engineer III, you will work onsite in Alaska, and you will be responsible for assisting the Construction Management Team with field project management in locations throughout Alaska and the Pacific Regions. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining project records, reports and assisting the Construction Management Team with field project management. You will assist the Project Manager with plans development and data entry into RMS or comparable software for project correspondence and acts as a Project Manager as needed.

How will you do it?

  • Act as Project Manager as needed.
  • Leads project planning and RFPs.
  • Understands the project contract.
  • Manages scope and schedule.
  • Prepare daily project reporting including timekeeping; environmental and permit compliance; daily reports.
  • Create and maintain project reports including inspection reports, job diaries, photographs, and video logs, and subcontractor reports.
  • Maintains documentation in RMS or comparable project document/correspondence software.
  • Provides input for project plans development and assists with writing project plans
  • Coordinate meetings and take meeting notes
  • Provide work inspection and logging when required.
  • Assists the Construction Team including the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Quality Control, and Superintendent with job related tasks.
  • Prepares correspondence as needed.
  • Assists Project Manager with updates to project schedule.
  • Maintains effective communication and coordination among all project participants.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Functions: This position may direct the work of craft and other project workers as needed and directed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of construction-related computer applications such as database, spreadsheet, scheduling and job costing software and other standard business applications (Microsoft Office Suite).

Knowledge of RMS or comparable project document/correspondence software recommended.

Ability to communicate with employees, business partners, and clients professionally and effectively via written and verbal communication methods.

Ability to read and write technical documents and plans, routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others; ability to work with employees, business partners, and customers in a friendly and positive manner.

Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts, and make decisions based on available information. Ability to use judgment
