The Collagen Pack Assembler 1 is responsible for cutting, inspection, packaging and boxing operations on Collagen assembly line using required equipment and hand tools. May be assigned to different workstations as production needs require. Works online where tasks vary as different models of products moves to be assembled.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  1. Writes labels for all materials, components, and products with identifying information such as Description, Quantity, Name, etc.

  2. Cuts collagen sponges to specific size using cutting equipment/tool.

  3. Inspects collagen products for defects, surface pattern, razor cuts, open edges, or foreign matter visually using the spotlights. Also inspect for thickness using the required measurement gage.

  4. Packs products as instructed in shop orders or procedures using Alloyd sealing machines.

  5. Reads shop orders, blueprints, and procedures for specifications.

  6. Fills information on the documentation such as Shop Orders, etc. as required.

  7. Assists group peers in order to complete assigned tasks.

  8. May perform other tasks as requested by supervisor.

  9. Assemblers are required to work on priority orders when released before others in order to meet production schedules.

  10. Assemblers are responsible for achieving established productivity levels and quality standards.

  11. Follows Clean Room Rules and Gowning Practices.

  12. Uses the required protective equipment of the assigned workstation.

  13. Follows Production Order Instructions and the established manufacturing specifications of Drawings, Procedures, and Shop Orders.

  14. Maintains work area and tools clean and organized at all moments.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Education and Experience

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.

  • High School graduate or equivalent

  • 3-6 months of experience in medical device manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Ability to read and understand English

  • Manual abilities to work with small parts and hand tools
