Job Description:

L3Harris Interstate Electronics Corporation (IEC) Division is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Industrial Security Professional. The primary responsibilities of this position include the maintenance of the overall company industrial and physical security program - to include functioning as an Industrial Security Specialist. The Security Specialist serves as subject matter expert to L3Harris IEC Facility Security Officer (FSO) and supports all security matters including safeguarding personnel security, handling of controlled unclassified information, classified information, and classified information systems. The position is responsible for assisting the FSO in the development, implementation, and administration of various security procedures based on Department of Defense (DoD) and other U.S. Government agency security requirements. Assists with investigations into security violations and ensures proposed corrective actions are approved and implemented. Develops, communicates, upholds, and reinforces the mission, values, and culture of L3Harris IEC.

Essential Functions: All aspects of Industrial Security, including but not limited to:

  • In accordance with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) NISPOM, assist in reviewing, updating, and implementing various security related documents and policies for management approval.

  • Knowledgeable in processing and maintaining annual UL Certifications.

  • Prepare and process various security related documents to include SF-312 non-disclosure agreements and others security related documents.

  • Assist in preparing required security documents including detailed analysis of security risks, countermeasures, and implementation of operational security (OPSEC) plans. Maintain international travel in SIMS to include high risk travel.

  • Monitor expiration dates and coordinate contract closures to include requests for transfer and/or requests for retention of classified material.

  • Process destruction certificates and internal/external transfers in SIMS. Perform destruction of classified material to include NSA destruction in coordination with program managers.

  • Coordinate with configuration management (CM) in support of import/export document control. Conduct periodic inspections to ensure accountability of program material to ensure compliance with NISPOM and marking requirements.

  • Support annual mission projects and coordinate, process, and validate visit authorization requests in DISS in support of classified meetings and visits.

  • Maintain security of multiple programs for cleared contractors in support of U.S. Government DD-254 classified contracts and subcontracts.

  • Assist the FSO as needed with contract execution, change management, and eventual contract closeouts.

  • Perform courier briefings and prepare courier authorization letters in support of hand-carrying of classified material. Debrief employees and update in DISS.

  • Maintain security records and combinations for all GSA Safes.

  • Provide initial indoctrination security briefings and derivative marking training to employees regarding safeguarding responsibilities and access control.

  • Investigate and provide security incident reports to the FSO pertaining to the loss, compromise or suspected compromise of classified materials.

  • Knowledgeable in working with Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and associated incidents, alerts and alarm testing.

  • Verify and maintain facility profile in NISS to include compliance with transport requirements. Process SF-86C forms for adverse information into DISS.

  • Apply required derivative classification markings in accordance with Security Classification Guidance (SCG) in support of IRAD and/or DD-254 programs.

  • Must be a team player who can interact effectively and professionally with all levels of internal and external customers.

    Qualifications:

  • Requires an expert knowledge of Industrial Security profession. Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline. Must have broad and in-depth knowledge of Industrial Security. Bachelor of Science Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related industrial security experience. Currently or previously holding a position within Industrial Security. This includes experience in managing various security related issues and coordinating as needed with appropriate Security Department, law enforcement and government agencies.

  • 4 years of experience in managing proprietary information, counterintelligence, insider threat, and basic cybersecurity issues.

  • 4 years of experience in processing industrial and government security requirements in accordance with the NISPOM.

  • 4 years of experience with SF-86 Questionnaire processing, SIMS, DISS, NISS, INVIZE, and SWFT systems .

  • 4 years of experience with Visitor control, classified meeting set up, employee ID, and security clearance administration.

  • 4 years’ experience with creation and enforcement of company and corporate policies and procedures.

  • Active Top Secret US Government security clearance with current SSBI.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong Interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.

  • ITAR knowledge and experience

  • Professional certificates such as DCSA FSO Certification are a plus.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $70,500k - $131,500k. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
