Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Amherst, Massachusetts

Description We are in search of an Accounting Clerk to join our team in the education sector. The workplace is located in Amherst, Massachusetts, United States and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounting Clerk, your role will involve various tasks revolving around accounts payable and receivable, data entry, and invoice processing, among others, within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process customer applications for educational programs, ensuring high levels of accuracy and timeliness.

• Maintain and update student records, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.

• Assist in the fulfillment process for educational resources, including order processing and reconciliation.

• Provide general administrative assistance to the group leader and other program staff, handling typical office and computer work.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other tools for data entry and other tasks.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.

• Oversee customer accounts, monitoring for any discrepancies or issues that need to be resolved.

• Assist in the configuration and content entry for online learning platforms.

• Contribute to the billing process, ensuring all invoices are accurately processed and sent out in a timely manner.

• Engage in varied coordination and facilitation tasks for various educational programs, ensuring smooth operations. Requirements • Must possess strong knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficient in Billing and Invoice Processing tasks

• Proficiency in Data Entry is required

• Must have experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Previous experience within the education industry is preferred

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness

• Must demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
