The Ames High School coaching staff is seeking a Head Drill/Dance Team Coach for the 2025-26 school year.

Work Schedule: 2-3 hours per day (4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m) Monday-Friday with various nights and weekends.Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Supervises and prepares Drill Team for performances.

• Schedules and attends all practice sessions before, during, or after school.

• Participates in dance competitions/events throughout the school year.

• Maintains a dance program and performance schedule throughout the school year.

• Follows proper procedures for the purchase of equipment and materials necessary for program operation.

• Conducts of fundraising activities necessary to support the operation of the program.

• Assists in planning pep assembles and coordinates with other coaches and activity sponsors, building principals, and the Athletic Director.

• Coordinates any summer camps with the Athletic Director.

• Participates in special events to include banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies.

• Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.

• Attends staff development meetings, clinics, and other professional activities to improve coaching performance.

• Maintains forms and equipment inventory as assigned by the Head Coach.

• Assists with other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience coaching dance team at the high school level preferred.Compensation: $3,491 season stipend
