Job Title: Molding Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Molding Machine Operators to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong experience in machine operation, computer skills, and documentation. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, quality inspection, and working in warm temperatures. This is a fast-paced role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate molding machines and ensure they run smoothly.

  • Monitor machine performance using computer systems.

  • Document production output both on paper and digitally.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues as they arise.

  • Inspect machines before, during, and after operation to ensure quality.

  • Maintain clean designated work areas.

  • Take samples of chocolate for quality testing.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2-3 years of machine operating experience.

  • Basic troubleshooting skills.

  • Familiarity with GMPs and HACCP.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform preventive maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in food production.

  • Production experience to keep up with the fast-paced environment.

  • Experience operating machines in a warehouse setting is transferable.

Work Environment

This role is based in a food production facility with warm temperatures up to 120 degrees during summer months. You must be comfortable with loud noise levels and wearing safety gear, including hairnets, beard nets, steel-toed boots, earplugs, and gloves. The work schedule includes rotating days off with two consecutive days off each week, and candidates must be open to working any day of the week, including weekends. Shifts available are 1st shift (5:30 AM - 2:00 PM), 2nd shift (1:30 PM - 10:00 PM), and 3rd shift (9:30 PM - 6:00 AM). Expect to work 5-10 hours of overtime per week.
