Description
We are offering an opportunity for a Payroll and Benefits Specialist in the manufacturing industry, located in the Lansdale area, Pennsylvania. The role involves managing and processing multi-state payroll, handling benefits, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Carry out end-to-end payroll processing across multiple states.
• Gather and input payroll data while maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of employee records.
• Manage timekeeping information for all staff.
• Assist with calculations of bonus and other salary-based compensation at different periods.
• Resolve employee and management inquiries related to payroll.
• Investigate and remedy any discrepancies in payroll.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports to relevant departments when needed.
• Assist in audits related to benefits, financial, and Workman’s Compensation.
• Administer the 401k retirement plan.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to benefits and payroll.
• Facilitate regular audits to maintain data accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with external vendors, including benefit and payroll providers.
• Process and issue W-2s to employees.
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a payroll and benefits specialist role or similar capacity within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in using on of the following: UltiPro, UltiPro HRIS, Kronos, Kronos Timekeeping System, Kronos Workforce, UKG Pro, and UKG Ready.
• Demonstrable skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in Benefits Administration, Benefits Payroll, Insurance Benefits, and Medical Benefits are essential.
• Familiarity with benefit functions and ability to effectively manage them.
• Capable of handling complex payroll and benefits issues, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees regarding their benefits and payroll.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
