Universal Health Services Nurse Manager-Children and Adolescent in AMBLER, Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

The Horsham Clinic is seeking a dynamic and talented Nurse Manager for our inpatient adolescent units. The Nurse Manager is responsible for assessing and supervising staff and activities on the units. Including quality oversight of nursing practices and documentation. The manager will also be responsible for ensuring the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the unit throughout the shift.

The Horsham Clinic is a 206 bed private behavioral healthcare facility located on a beautiful 55-acre suburban campus. We are minutes from Philadelphia and we serve Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The Horsham Clinic provides comprehensive behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families. Programs and services are located on the main campus in Ambler, Pennsylvania, as well as satellite day hospital programs in Pennsylvania, Delaware County, and Chester County. The Nurse Manager has 24 hours a day 7 days a week responsibility for all program activities and treatment services provided on assigned unit. The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring effective and efficient clinical programming, unit staffing, selection and supervision of core and variable staff, budgeting and compliance with hospital and regulatory agency standards. The Nurse Manager promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of The Horsham Clinic and the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care. The Nurse Manager must demonstrate flexibility and the knowledge and skills required to manage units providing care to a varied population including children, adolescents, adults, older adults and dually diagnosed patients

    Qualifications

  • Must be willing to work with Children and Adolescents

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred

  • 3 years clinical experience with a psychiatric, mental health population preferred

  • Clinical Supervisor experience in psychiatric setting preferred

  • Licensure: Current license or eligibility for licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of Pennsylvania

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of behavioral mental health, nursing clinical practices, and management

  • Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.

  • Proficiency with common computer based applications such as electronic mail, word processing and various databases

  • Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/ aggressive behavior. General hospital environment.
