Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

Seeking construction workers for a high-profile project at a Data Center in Altoona, IA. As a General Laborer, you will work off blueprints and use hand and power tools to assemble and mount trays, server racks/closets, and pull fiber optic cable. Tasks include installing work area outlets, routing cables, performing pre-termination procedures, building closets, performing fire-stopping procedures, installing sleeves, pulling cable, and terminating low-voltage devices. Training provided. This is a contract position scheduled through the end of July.

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position in Altoona, Iowa. The role involves working in all weather conditions with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, 7am to 5:30pm, and Saturdays from 7am to 3:30pm. The job involves 75% outdoor work and 25% indoor work. Strict adherence to safety protocols is required. Workers must wear steel-toed work boots and be prepared for varying ground conditions like gravel, mud, rain, and snow. Comfort in extreme heat and cold is essential.
