Actalent Lab Technician in ALSIP, Illinois

Job Description

  • Performs sensory, physical, and chemical tests on finished products to assure they meet established specifications.

  • Evaluates Bill of Material (BOM) for completeness and proper documentation.

  • Records test data and maintains laboratory work list in LIMS system to assure timely release of finished products.

  • Reports nonconformance with immediate corrective actions in LIMS system.

  • Performs required inspection for manufacturing equipment, storage equipment, and sanitation cleaning.

  • Participates in check sample program with outside institution(s) and in internal proficiency program to verify accuracy.

  • Assists with Raw Material testing, COA review, and COA filing.

  • Inspect Finished Product Packaging to ensure label and configurations are correct.

  • Approve and apply final wrap with automated equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related.

  • 6 months of laboratory experience from industry or academia.

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and communicate with individuals in a small group setting.

  • Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00
