CTG Transportation Load Planner in Alpharetta, Georgia

CTG is seeking to fill a Transportation Load Planner opening for our client in Alpharetta, GA.

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

  • Execute freight-to-trade loads (freight orders) within the S4HANA TM Module.

  • Maximize on-time delivery metrics and truckload utilization results.

  • Interact with order management teams to address and resolve load-related issues.

  • Review and refine transportation profiles to optimize load utilization while minimizing product displacement or order cuts.

  • Document and escalate new exceptions as they arise.

  • Address load planning exceptions promptly and collaborate cross-functionally with Logistics and Customer Operations to enhance performance.

  • Understand and validate TM master data requirements to optimize the TM module.

  • Assist in preparing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for load planning execution.

Skills:

  • Familiarity with general transportation requirements (e.g., lanes, weight limits).

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

  • Analytical skills to assess data and optimize transportation processes.

  • Understanding of SAP and transportation planning.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business, IT teams, and third-party vendors.

  • General knowledge of customer-facing requirements.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years' experience in a supply chain role.

  • 1-3 years' experience with desktop and ERP applications.

  • Transportation load planning experience is highly desired.

  • Experience managing transportation providers and third-party logistics (e.g., Uber Freight, LTL/TL providers).

  • Ability to travel as needed to support strategic planning.

Education:

  • High School Diploma required.

  • Preferred degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or logistics management. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
