STAFF ACCOUNTANT - Private Equity Backed International Manufacturer in Alpharetta
We are inviting applications for a Staff Accountant role in the manufacturing industry. Based in Alpharetta, Georgia, this role will provide an engaging work environment where you can apply your skills in accounting and financial management.
Responsibilities:
Manage cash accounting operations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
Execute bank reconciliations to confirm that all transactions align with bank statements.
Manage prepaids and accruals, ensuring all expenses are recorded in the correct period.
Handle accounts payable, ensuring all supplier invoices are paid in a timely manner.
Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations to maintain the accuracy of financial statements.
Utilize Sage Intacct software for financial management and reporting.
Manage cash activities, including cash disbursements and cash posting.
Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.
Assist with month-end close procedures, including the preparation of journal entries.
Support the company's growth plans by providing financial insights and projections.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position within the manufacturing industry
Ability to manage Cash Activity, Cash Disbursements, and Cash Posting
Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
Experience with Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries
Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
Proficient in using Sage Intacct accounting software
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Knowledge of manufacturing accounting principles and regulations.
