ADP is hiring a Senior US Tax Compliance Delivery Specialist.

As Senior US Tax Compliance Delivery Specialist, you will support the Global Payroll Tax & Compliance team for internal ADP associates and business. This role is critical in support of payroll tax and compliance activity for all entities to provide accurately processed payroll that meets the expectations of ADP associates as well as the regulatory requirements of each jurisdiction where ADP operates.

This role will require the individual to have strong attention to detail, analytical skills, problem-solving skills, collaboration, creative thinking, and comfort in using various technology sources. The role will be expected to identify opportunities to make processes more efficient and evaluate whether such processes can be automated.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Processing tax notices received and working with Vendor to ensure timely responses and resolution

  • Coordinating the necessary signatures to allow for registration/deregistration of accounts at various State and Local tax jurisdictions.

  • Maintaining a record of expected refunds and coordinating the validation and depositing of said refunds.

  • Monitoring our Tax Compliance Queue, used for tax-specific questions posed by associates requiring technical assistance.

  • Monitoring our Shared Mailbox for incoming queries and ensuring responses are provided within the SLA established

  • Identify legislative changes (minimum wage updates, tax and unemployment rate changes, tax law changes) and ensure that any updates are coordinated and implemented timely

  • Coordinating reporting requests from internal departments

  • Liaise with internal departments and external agencies regarding compliance matters. Conduct audits of US payroll data to confirm accuracy.

  • Ensure SOP documentation is created and maintained for any processes utilized associated with compliance controls.

  • Identify opportunities for automation of current processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.

  • Process incoming mail, ensuring appropriate distribution to internal departments

  • Seek continuous improvement in departmental processes and procedures

  • Other duties as additional responsibilities are given to the department

Additional Supporting Roles:

  • Process prior quarter/year payroll corrections that are necessary and ensure the accuracy of revised documents.

  • Contribute to the year-end process to facilitate creating and distributing Form W-2s for associates.

  • Collaborate with Vendors to create corrected Form W-2s where needed and distribute them to associates.

  • Request and conduct audits of amendments submitted based on prior quarter/year corrections.

  • Coordinate the quarterly reporting of Death Gratuity Payments made to families of deceased associates

  • Coordinate the quarterly reporting of Pay Penalties for departing associates in California

  • Facilitate creation and verification of Jeffersontown, KY annual refund applications and coordinate with the US Tax and Compliance manager on the distribution of Forms.

  • Maintain databases currently used in facilitating US payroll while identifying opportunities to convert into RPA.

Experience - You have 2-4 years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • Experienced with employment tax processing and compliance.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Team player with a strong work ethic.

  • Possess and apply professional skills and knowledge in job-related areas; keep abreast of current developments and trends in areas of expertise.

For additional comfortability in the role:

  • Experienced with Microsoft Access.

  • Previous experience working with technology teams to develop automated processes.

  • Knowledge of ADP tools and technology.
