Equifax, Inc. Quality Automation Engineer (SDET) in Alpharetta, Georgia

Quality Automation Engineer (SDET) for Equifax Inc. in Alpharetta, GA (multiple positions available) to code, test, debug and implement software solutions; lead complex testing efforts, estimating time and resources; define test environment configuration; define test cases based on user requirements and perform testing of applications, focusing on functional and end-to-end testing, validating that system response and output accurately to reflect business requirements as outlined in requirements document; coordinate with business users and development team to plan and execute user acceptance testing; identify and resolve test environment issues; perform defect analysis, identifying trends and recommending process improvements; design, develop and implement short and long-term solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems and applications infrastructure; conduct quality control tests in order to ensure full compliance with specified standards and end user requirements; execute tests using established plans and scripts, documents problems in an issues log and retests to ensure problems are resolved; create test files to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow; identify, recommend and implement changes to enhance effectiveness of Quality Engineering strategies; develop work plans for short-term assignments of moderate complexity; apply a new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems, analyzing multiple sources of information; make decisions within guidelines and policies that impact a range of customer, operational, process, or project activities; explain complex and sensitive information and work to build support and agreement; work with others to achieve results and proactively address sources of conflict and emotion with focus on the best solution for Equifax; develop work plans for short-term assignments of moderate complexity, typically contained within own function; and identify, recommend and implement changes to enhance effectiveness of Quality Engineering strategies. Requires: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience in software QA automation or as a software development engineer in test (SDET) or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience in software QA automation or as a software development engineer in test (SDET). Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): performing test automation using Java, JavaScript, Python, or SQL/NoSQL; building automation test frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, RestAssured, or Intuit; Karate, Cucumber, Allure Reporting, Mockito, Splunk, Jmeter, or AppDynamics; Jenkins, Confluence, or Jira for full testing life cycle; designing, developing, or implementing solutions through applications, systems architecture, network systems, or applications infrastructure; load, fail-over, fault-tolerance, or chaos testing, as well as conducting performance tests, including 2 of the following: capacity, load, or soak testing; and At least 3 of the following observability tools: AppDynamics, Lighthouse, Datadog, DPA, Splunk, or GCP stack driver.
