As a member of the team, the Product Consultant will have the opportunity to work, strategize, prioritize, and ultimately recommend ways to educate the insurance industry – externally and internally.

About the Role

As a Product Consultant you will spearhead the transformation of our current Insurance Solutions Platform into a cloud-native, no-code solution that consistently exceeds customer expectations. You will lead a cross-functional team, leveraging your strategic thinking, technical expertise, stakeholder management, and impact measurement skills. Your mission is to identify and implement scalable platform capabilities that enable teams to accelerate product speed to market. This role also includes direct management responsibilities for product managers.

Responsibilities

  • Engaging regularly with internal and external customers to gain a deep understanding of their use cases, businesses, and competitive landscapes. Balancing organizational needs, creating strategic plans, predicting customer segment trends, and identifying how each segment defines and perceives value.

  • Establishing aggressive KPIs for the team to measure success.

  • Prioritizing hypothesis-driven product evaluation strategies, including AB testing for interactive products, while contributing to broader data-analyses strategies and platforms.

  • Breaking down complex issues into manageable components for effective resolution, and guides teams in decision-making even when quantitative data is limited.

  • Ensuring team is effectively following product and software development processes, including agile processes.

  • Managing the ongoing life cycle responsibilities. Research cross-vertical, continuum expansion or product enhancement opportunities, if warranted

  • Managing existing products that result from strategic partners and providers, including joint ventures and subsidiary relationships and projects

  • Establishing metrics and feedback loops to quantify the impact of platform initiatives. Utilizing internal feedback and usability testing to measure efficiency and time-to-market improvements for teams utilizing platform services.

  • Developing go to market strategy and launch plans for the platform and associated products through coordination with stakeholders across product, sales, marketing and other customer facing teams.

  • Ensuring ROI for go to market strategy, including efficiency goals.

  • Evangelizing Insurance Solutions Platform for sales, internal customers, and external customers.

  • Defining and articulating the Insurance Solutions Platform strategy.

  • Gathering a wide range of information from internal and external sources to drive commercially viable decisions for the product and organization.

  • Understanding how commercial decisions for a product platform impact other areas of the business and customer.

  • Tracking and analyzing platform expenses, cost to revenue and profitability.

  • Overseeing the strategy, planning and execution.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum 8+ years of product management experience .

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of technical concepts, including APIs, no-code, cloud, etc., to effectively guide the development of technical platform.

  • Possess a unique background and/or expertise as a technical product manager and be capable of serving as a technical resource for other teams.

  • Demonstrate expertise in emerging technologies for data and analytics.

  • Possess a Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical field (Computer Science or Engineering discipline) is preferred.

  • Foster relationships through collaboration and teamwork

  • Demonstrate a results-oriented approach with a focus on achieving and exceeding goals.

  • Experience with SQL, dashboarding and\or technical background required.

  • PMP certification is preferred.
