Your role at Clorox:

As a Manufacturing Execution Product Owner, Capital Planning, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of VISTA/ELEVATE Capital Planning Modules and Small to Medium-size capital projects ensuring consistency with business strategy, commitments, and goals. You will use Clorox engineering principles and Early Management tools to resolve strategies to kick off the project, evaluate and understand the project requirements, lead a larger engineering team consisting of packaging, process, electrical, and instrumentation; monitor project plans, schedules, budgets, expenditures, vendor management, and monthly reporting. Our goal is to deliver reliable equipment, infrastructure, and integrations that exceed startup and safety targets and help the company grow top and bottom lines.

  • As an Elevate/Vista product owner you will:

  • Act as a liaisonbetween business partners and the SAP development team, ensuring clear communication and successful implementation of SAP solutions.

  • Handles backlog of application functionality

  • Define and create sprint deliverables and documentation (e.g., user stories)

  • Review and accept or reject completed user stories based on predefined acceptance criteria

  • Ensure a representative sample of regions, corp functions and BUs is included in solution criteria

  • Help determine the need and timing of SMEs and handle SME support

  • Run showcase based on developed user stories

  • Champion change management

  • Coordinate and support Testing processes, ensuring that the solutions meet business needs before launch.

  • Gather feedback from users and make necessary adjustments to the solution.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of requirements, decisions, and changes.

  • Prepare and present progress reports and updates to partners and senior management.

  • Provide ongoing support and address any issues or concerns related to SAP solutions.

  • Lead Community of Practices Strategic planning

  • Define Objectives: Clearly outline the goals and objectives of the CoP aligned with organizational or community goals.

  • Develop Strategy: Build a strategic plan to achieve the CoP objectives, including key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Identify Partners: Identify and engage key partners, including potential members and leadership sponsors

  • Handle Content: Lead all aspects of the creation and dissemination of content, such as tools, Standards and trainings.

  • Monitor Engagement: Track and analyze member participation and engagement levels, and adjust strategies as needed.

  • Mentor Members: Provide guidance and support to emerging leaders and active members within the CoP.

  • Build Leadership: Foster leadership opportunities and responsibilities among members to enhance community ownership and growth.

  • As a Capital Project manager

  • Plan and lead small to medium-sized capital projects/programs that include the integration of outside technical resources.

  • Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult to complex problems using in-depth knowledge of specific manufacturing operations combined with the application of appropriate engineering principles.

  • Independently determine the general approach and specific solutions to technical problems. Demonstrates good judgment in making commitments and risk-taking.

  • Provide technical knowledge on evolving capabilities within both the industry and the technology so that the business unit can maintain its relative competitive position in the marketplace.

  • Provide technical leadership to teams conceiving, developing, and implementing major technology upgrades or product improvement/line extensions. Routinely leads inter-organization teams working on product improvement and line extension.

  • Anticipate changing resource requirements and results and initiate appropriate responses in a way that optimizes overall project results.

  • Make effective presentations of technical material to non-technical people, both written and verbal. Able to build and lead effective work teams for midsize to large programs.

  • Drives use of the engineering discipline so that it causes significant shifts in our manufacturing processes.

  • Deliver fully integrated human, operational and technical systems that achieve targeted business results. Can evaluate, develop and lead a project from the technical, operational, and business perspectives.

  • Able to follow and champion the Capital Project Management process. Capable of following a focused process approach using the One-Right-Way process to ensure vertical system startups.

  • Interpersonal and technical skills earn respect and are recognized throughout the Clorox network. Continually builds networks in both the Clorox and external communities to more broadly influence the organization.

  • Proactive in dealing with confrontation and delivering effective solutions for the business.

  • Handle project scope, schedule, finances, and resources to meet partner Clorox business objectives

  • Works independently to coordinate own and others' activities while networking with key contacts outside of the discipline. Handle project team members both internal to Clorox and external engineering resources.

  • Works very complex issues using in-depth analysis and can evaluate tangible and intangible variables.

  • Champions and models Clorox standards and practices for the rest of the technical community

  • Leads programs and initiatives needed to improve the technical area.

  • Travel is required 10-30% depending upon project activity

  • Typical Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years in engineering and manufacturing operations management

  • 4+ years of project management experience

  • Hands-on experience with SAP modules (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP Fiori) and understanding of their functionalities.

Workplace type:

Hybrid 3 days a week in office and 2 days a week working from home.

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $104,100 - $199,100

–Zone B: $95,500 - $183,300

–Zone C: $86,800 - $166,600
