Director Of Product Management

What does a successful Director of Product Management do at Fiserv?

As a Director of Product Management, you will play a critical role in shaping the direction of the Money Network product portfolio by focusing on enhancing the customer experience and driving business growth through the creation and launch of innovative solutions. You will define the strategy and focus for creating products and solutions that benefit Money Network customers. Your responsibilities will include defining and communicating the strategic path for the solution line from idea initiation to marketing, sales, and support, to working within a quality-focused software development lifecycle methodology and execution.

What you will do:

  • Define and managing feature set requirements for each product release.

  • Develop the strategic roadmap and business plans for portfolio of product offerings to best meet current and future market needs, identifying both new opportunities for application integration and enhancements to existing offerings.

  • Understand the competitive landscape and craft offerings strategy with the result of prioritizing feature/functionality offers.

  • Drive the end-to-end product cycle from business justification through product launch including ensuring other functions are aligned to capitalize on the initiative.

  • Ensure the execution of sound product management processes on a function-specific basis, ensuring that sufficient training and auditing of this process occurs.

  • Collaborate with internal colleagues, plan and execute strategies for continuous improvement in methodologies, processes, procedures, and technologies.

  • Identify and monitor success metrics to effectively manage the product lines with a focus on client and business value creation.

  • Manage product profitability along with the packaging and pricing of the solution set.

What you will need to have:

  • 8+ years of experience in product management within the financial services industry with direct product ownership, operating in an Agile development environment - experience working directly with internal and external engineering teams.

  • 2+ years of experience in the Payments Industry.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of experience, education and military service.

  • Proficient in problem-solving with analytical and influencing skills with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships.

  • Exceptional detail-oriented and superior organizational skills to balance multiple projects, deadlines, and requests.

  • Strong communication skills with management as well as technical and non-technical colleagues within the company and to clients.

  • Experience interpreting data and market trends to make informed product decisions.

What would be great to have:

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in the financial services industry.

  • Experience and knowledge of prepaid open loop card product management.

  • Experience supporting web and mobile banking solutions and other digital products.
