Product Development Chemist, Entry - JR2423813

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: PPG Industries, Inc. seeks a Product Development Chemist, Entry in Hampton Township, PA to support the development of new global product platforms for the electrocoat and pretreatment markets through hands-on laboratory testing. Will focus on formulation design and development, coating preparation and application, and applied coating performance testing against a wide range of both regional and global customer specifications.

Must have a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related field.

Must have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) planning and conducting experimental work; (ii) electrochemistry; (iii) generating, analyzing, and interpreting experimental data; (iv) practicing planned experimental skills (including experimental design or DOE principles) to solve problems and optimize systems based on desired performance properties; and (v) documenting and communicating technical conclusions through written and verbal summaries, reports, presentations, and updates.
