Part-Time Public Transit Driver

Salary : $15.08 - $16.50 per Hour DOQ

The City needs a customer-service oriented individual to safely drive a van or bus and coordinate transportation plans for patrons of the Public Transportation Program. In this position you will:

• Coordinate routing and pick-up of passengers, including children, elderly and/or disabled.
• Be responsible for safety of passengers getting on and off van or bus including operating wheelchair lift.
• Collect fares, handle cash, maintain passenger logs, and use radio or phone to communicate with dispatch.

About the Position Type

This Part-time position is scheduled 25 hours per week and includes part-time benefits, including dental and vision insurance, sick leave, vacation leave, and paid holidays.

Location and Hours

This position is located at the Public Works Facility at 1313 W. 1^st^Street and takes place as scheduled between 6:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday with some possible limited evening or weekend hours.

Need to Have

• Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent.
• Must be 21 or older.
• Preferred candidate will have both driving and basic clerical experience.

Special Requirements

Must possess a valid Nebraska state driver's license and successfully pass background checks including driving, drug screening and criminal background check. Must be able to obtain CPR certification.
