The Project Manager, Operations is responsible for managing and directing key operations and business-related projects. Leads and oversee multiple project strategic network initiatives simultaneously that align with network strategy.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create detailed project plans, gather and document business requirements with intended outcomes, create supporting project documentation, and obtain business sign off

  • Establish project success measures. Identify and report out on project KPI’s and anticipated bottom-line improvements

  • Prepare status reports regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and risks and issues, to communicate status across key stakeholders

  • Management of interdependencies between business, operations, and technology needs

  • Creation and approval of all project artifacts, which include but not limited to, charter, communication plan, scope document, scope change, risk registry, status reports, presentations, etc

  • Develop project plans that include pre and post staffing requirements, workflows, process reviews, and optimizations

  • Identify all internal/external resources required to complete projects successfully. Collaboration with department leadership to assign roles and responsibilities, task deadlines, and prepare estimates

  • Collaborate and work closely with project sponsors, operational departments, other PM’s within the network, and executive leadership to ensure successful outcomes

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Standing for up to 4 hours, up to 1 hour at a time. Walking for up to 4 hours per day, 1 hour at a time. Sitting for up to 8 hours per day, 4 hours at a time. Hearing as it relates to normal and phone conversations. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision and visual monotony.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in either Healthcare Administration, Public Health Administration, Business Administration or Nursing, or equivalent work experience.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

5+ years working in healthcare setting; 3+ years’ experience as a Project Manager. Prior experience with Microsoft Suite required and MS Project preferred; PMP certification preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.

  • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.

  • Demonstrates/models the Network’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external).

  • Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety.

  • Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices.

  • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.

  • Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • Attends meetings, as required, related to assigned projects and staff meetings, to provide status updates.

  • Other related duties as assigned.
