Role Summary: The Manager of Quality Document Control is responsible for overseeing the quality and integrity of project documentation and records across the organization. This role includes developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control processes to ensure adherence to Company standards and regulatory requirements, as well as providing metrics to leadership to demonstrate effectiveness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include: Develop and implement welder quality control procedures and standards in alignment with Company policy and industry best practices. Develop and maintain a control system to monitor and track welder qualifications and maintain accurate project records. Conduct regular inspections and audits of welder qualification records to ensure compliance with Company policies and regulatory standards. Work closely with Company Engineering and Project Managers to Identify areas for improvement in welding processes and implement corrective actions to enhance quality and efficiency. Lead and mentor a team of document control specialists, providing training and support to enhance their skills. Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes to ensure adherence to Company standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure all project records are compliant with Company policy, industry recommended practices and regulatory requirements. Ensure that onsite inspections and audits are conducted as necessary to monitor compliance with quality standards, verify that all project records meet Company policies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements, and identify opportunities for improvement. Provide data on quality metrics and trends to leadership and recommend improvements to enhance compliance, efficiency, and accuracy. Participate in audits and inspections by regulatory agencies and third-party organizations. Stay up to date with industry best practices and incorporate them into the Company's processes. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to promote a culture of quality and compliance. Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, other technical discipline or comparable project management and industry experience or certifications. 10+ years oil and/or gas pipeline industry experience specializing, regulatory compliance, commercial construction/project management, engineering or pipeline operations. Experience auditing construction projects and contractor work product on oil and gas industry related projects (preferably in pipelines & terminals). Working effectively in and contributing to a team environment and influencing cross-functional teams. Proficient in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Effec ive communication skills, both written and verbal. Up to 25% travel
Certificates & Licenses: API CWI or NWIS CPWI+V is preferred. Additional construction credentials qualifications are beneficial.
