Reimagine What's Possible

As a member of the Classification and Controls team you will be part of our Global Trade Compliance organization supporting our global businesses. The primary responsibility of this role will be as a classifier of imported and exported goods. The daily activities are to assign Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification numbers and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) to our internal customers. Additional responsibilities will be to identify goods that may require licensing, complete large classification projects including bid proposals for mega projects and other trade compliance related tasks.The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: A strong understanding and application of the HTSUS and other HS (EU countries, Canada, and Asia preferred) systems. The ability to apply the General Rules of Interpretation (GRIs) and document HS justifications properly and clearly. A strong understanding and ability to classify goods under the US Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), Commerce Control List (CCL); assigning ECCNs correctly. Understanding or some experience with other global export controls/dual use regulations. A good working knowledge of ECCN Licensing determination. Experience with general import/export compliance and ability to find, read and interpret US Code of Regulations.Additional requirements: Strong verbal and writing skills Good organizational skills Ability to learn and use standard application system procedures Experience with SAP ECC and SAP GTS systems or similar ERP and GTM systems Intermediate to advanced working with Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Excel, Word, Share Point, Visio, Power Automate, Outlook, etc.Air Products proudly values the skills, dedication, and leadership that Veterans bring to the table.
