Amergis Urgently Hiring School Behavioral Technicians!! in Alhambra, California

The Behavior Technician works to facilitate educational andbehavioral services with children and adults with special needs andcollaborates with school professionals and other behavioral specialists toachieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement behavior intervention plans designed by the behavior specialist.

  • Monitor and record student behavior and progress.

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with behavioral challenges.

  • Collaborate with teachers to integrate behavior strategies into classroom activities.

  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress.

  • Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.

  • Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions.

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures.

    Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred.

  • Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting.

  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team.

  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
