Job Description The Quality Inspector - Level 2 is an intermediate level inspector, with the ability to fully perform the role of Quality Inspector - Level 1 along with the ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering documentation and apply an advanced knowledge of manual tools. The Quality Inspector - Level 2 is capable of a wide range of inspection activities to include the inspection of machined parts, assemblies, raw material, heat treat, and outside processing. The Quality Inspector - Level 3 has the ability to fully perform the role of Quality Inspector - Level 2 without supervision and will demonstrate extensive knowledge of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods per ASME 14.5. They will also demonstrate expert level blueprint reading and manufacturing/inspection related math skills. They will either serve as SMEs for mechanical, assembly or CMM inspection. These inspectors read and interpret results of inspections to determine product conformance and will have enough knowledge of manufacturing processes to provide detailed feedback on ways to improve product quality. These inspectors work independently and seek little guidance from higher level employees. They will also demonstrate advanced knowledge in AS9102 reporting, including the ability to create reports independently. Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm Reporting Relationships: TheQuality Inspector reports directly to the Quality Inspection Supervisor. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Inspect fastener installation, sealant, raw material, simple machine parts, sheet metal parts, bushings, bearings, and standards, simple assemblies, outside processing (NDT, finishes, finish coatings, thermal processing, etc.) Document FAI report Document non-conformances May occasionally perform special projects Other duties as assigned Required Skills/Experience: L2: 1-3 years of related experience L3: 3-6 years of related experience Ability to be certified with Hardness and Eddy Current, Sealant, bushing and bearing installation, electrical bonding, and fastener installation.
