SAIC Systems Engineer Associate in ALEXANDRIA, Virginia

Description

SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer Associate to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) with the Digital Engineering, Modeling & Simulation (DEM&S) directorate. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing DEM&S goals in alignment with the National Defense Strategy under the OUSD(R&E), as an SAIC employee. The position is hybrid remote with some onsite work located in Alexandria, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and advance digital tools and applications.

  • Create and implement digital and model-based techniques and artifact processes to support systems engineering applications within Department of Defense (DoD) areas of interest.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in systems engineering being utilized in the DoD.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelors and two (2) years experience; Masters and zero (0) years experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or a discipline that applies digital models to product development required; Systems Engineering preferred.

Qualifications:

  • No clearance required to start; Ability to obtain a Secret clearance required to maintain employment.

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and practices.

  • Some knowledge in SysML, with hands-on experience in creating and interpreting system models preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to write software, either through completion of relevant coursework or practical experience in software development preferred.

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java is preferred.
