ManTech Network Engineer in Alexandria, Virginia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in the Alexandria VA area. This is a HYBRID position supporting the US government. Regular weekly schedule includes 2 days onsite (Wednesdays mandatory) and 3 days telework.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performs as the highest-level technical expert, providing both internal and external consulting services.

  • Works independently on advanced systems/software analysis projects.

  • Remains current in operating systems/ software analysis and technological developments/applications.

  • Recommends future direction or projects to management.

  • Implement DISA STIGs and secure AWS-based firewalls, proxies, and Cisco firewalls.

  • Utilize security tools such as

  • Cisco ISE, Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, and FISMA findings to identify and remediate network vulnerabilities.

  • Conduct audits to identify network security gaps and recommend solutions.

  • Contribute to security incident management and response efforts.

  • Secure site to site VPNs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of related experience.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, or related field. An additional 5+ years of experience may substitute for a degree.

  • A CCNA or CCNP Certification.

  • Demonstrated experience working with STIGs, firewalls, proxies, Cisco network devices, vulnerability scanning tools, and FISMA requirements and findings.

  • Demonstrated experience conducting network security audits.

  • Demonstrated experience contributing to network security incident response.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry standard certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco/Juniper, or AWS Advanced Networking.

  • Proficient with ServiceNow

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • US Citizenship

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • May have to lift cisco switches

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing/talking/walking.

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another.

  • Communicating with others to exchange information.

  • Working with computers.

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,000-$140,100. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
