Annual Salary Range: $36,103.86 - $43,324.63 Grade: 21 (Employee: 7% on your current salary, whichever is greater; or 10.5% on your current salary, whichever is greater, if position is 3 grades or higher than current position) Appointment to a position in the classified service shall be at the minimum of the corresponding pay range unless otherwise approved.

Examination is announced to establish an employment list to fill vacancies in the Gas Distribution department and future vacancies as they occur to perform advanced technical work that involves installing, inspecting, maintaining, testing, and repairing assorted natural gas equipment as well as adjusting and monitoring gas pressure ad volume in the natural gas system. This position is subject to 24-hour call.

Minimum Applicant Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED; supplemented by three (3) years experience in the testing, maintenance, and repair of regulators, reliefs, control valves, meters and assorted equipment in the SCADA network; or any equivalent combination, of education training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Must possess a valid drivers license.

Will be required to obtain a valid State of Louisiana drivers license at time of appointment and maintain throughout employment for this classification.

Must obtain certifications as required by the Office of Pipeline Safety within six months of hire.

Work Schedule:

40 hours per week may be subject to duty week and 24-hour call
