Amentum is currently seeking a Linux Senior System Administrator to support an IT Managed Services program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems.

As a member of the team, you will:

• Deploy and maintain production Windows/Linux operating systems in accordance with established IT policies and guidelines for items such as security, networks, VoIP, and filesystems.

• Coordinate and perform installations and upgrades to layered software packages

• Continually monitor and tune multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels

• Work with Enterprise IT Configuration Management automation tools/approaches

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience OR an Associate’s degree and 5 years OR High School degree/GED and 8 years of experience OR equivalent.

• Related experience can be substituted for relevant education and vice versa.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Clearance.

• Experience in Windows/Linux System Administration

• Experience in Apache, Ngnix, haproxy

• Working knowledge of authentication methodologies such as Kerberos, PAM, and LDAP

• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, FTP, SSH, and other common Internet protocols

• Knowledge of CLI, scripting (Bash, Python), and searching/parsing log files

• Experience with solving practical problems and system analysis of the IT infrastructures

• Experience in effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a constantly changing environment

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong Telecom/networking background

• User and group management

• Process management
