Summary

Responsible for scheduling, supervising, training, and developing the Audit Team while protecting company assets. Adheres to and enforces all government regulations as well as established department and company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Excels at guest and team member support and customer service while promoting a positive and professional atmosphere. Responsible for ensuring that the casino department remains compliant with gaming regulations, internal controls and accounting procedures. Works with the audit team to prepare for gaming and external audits. As Internal Audit, the individual will be responsible for contributing to the design and implementation of audit processes, procedures and methodologies. They will plan and perform operational audits to ensure compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations, corporate standards and generally accepted internal audit standards.

  • will focus on enhancing internal audit processes and supervise internal auditors

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for efficient and professional operation of the Audit Team.

• Delegates audit duties and assigns those responsibilities as needed.

• Works with the Controller to establish policies and procedures.

• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Audit Team

• Develops audit staff including hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluation processes

• Safeguards company assets.

• Attends periodic meetings and training sessions.

• Reconcile revenue/cost center paperwork to ensure that proper controls are in place

• Reviews new or changed casino policies to verify compliance with gaming regulations and internal controls.

• Performs/directs the verification of daily drop records to ensure accuracy and completion

• Evaluates casino documents to determine any deficiencies and errors

• Performs/directs daily casino audit – verifies documents and data to ensure proper reporting on all forms.

• Tracks and manages timely corrections required by the various casino areas

• Verifies that casino documents and information are in order and prepared for external audits

• Ensures casino compliance with Federal, State and Local Laws as well as gaming regulations and internal controls

• Prepare and execute scheduled audits including planning, preparation, execution, reporting and follow-up

• Demonstrate high standards of conduct and ethics as well as the ability to use appropriate judgment and discretion

• Coordinate and conduct special audits, investigations, and/or ad-hoc projects with minimal supervision and direction

• Create, revise and document Casino Audit and Internal Audit policies and procedures

• Create, revise and submit Internal Audit Charter and Audit Plan to Management for approval as requested

Requirements

Ideal Candidate will have:

1+ years of experience in Audit and ready to take on supervisory role and grow with the organization!

• Ability to make decisions, formulate and communicate ideas, read, write and understand spreadsheets

• Must have an excellent math aptitude

• Bachelor's and at least one (1) year related experience with audit processes

• Must be detail oriented and think critically

• Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel
