Job Overview:

AnchorBuilt Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent with experience in a commercial construction setting to oversee construction projects projects from initial planning to completion with the support of the Construction Project Manager-Estimator. Responsible for coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Duties and Responsibilities(responsibilities and abilities include but are not limited to the list below. Other duties may be assigned)

  • Work in partnership with Project Manager to meet all construction objectives ensuring the job is completed according to company standards and customers satisfaction within budget, design, and timeline
  • Coordinate and supervise all construction activities of all on-site subcontractors and personnel and resources including the orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, and coaching of employees
  • Responsible for the daily on-site management of construction projects ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules
  • Plans construction projects by studying blueprints, ordering and scheduling materials and equipment
  • Oversee all daily field operations to ensure jobsite compliance with building codes, quality control, and progress
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing guidelines and procedures, complying with legal regulations
  • Ensure project schedules are met and be proactive in ensuring the project stays on schedule
  • Observe and maintain construction site is in a clean and professional manner including the removal of debris daily, noise and dust control, non-interruption of owner activities, and utility shutdown procedures
  • Maintain documentation related to jobsite activities such as safety logs, daily activity reports, materials, expenses, timecards, injury reports, etc.
  • Daily input on Quality and Cost control of all resources including equipment, personnel, materials, subcontractors, etc.
  • Maintain and review punch list and closeout procedures to ensure all are addressed and executed in a timely manner
  • Resolve any onsite issues or emergencies promptly and efficiently

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office and construction management software with the ability to learn new software as needed
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
  • Handle multiple tasks and responsibilities with the ability to adapt to change
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills demonstrating ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals
  • Highly organized, motivated, and able to work independently with the ability to set and achieve goals
  • Be customer service oriented
  • General knowledge of construction safety standards and practices
  • Ability to effectively lead a team with integrity to achieve project excellence
