TECO Energy Business Systems Analyst (Multiple Levels) in Albuquerque, New Mexico

This position will be open to internal and external applicants and will close on Monday, October 28, 2024.

The Associate Business Systems Analyst position pays between $54,720 and $68,400, the Business Systems Analyst pays between $63,440 and $79,300, and the Senior Business Systems Analyst pays between $78,640 and $98,300. Placement in any level is based on skills, experience, and education of the successful candidate.

In this position, you will work with management and front-line personnel to analyze and understand business needs and strategies by documenting and implementing the appropriate IT solutions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and update business process decomposition models

  • Assist with technical specification documentation for small to medium-size requests

  • Collect and consolidate data to create analysis documentation under New Mexico Gas Company’s (NMGC) Systems Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) methodology.

  • Work with business partners to document detailed business requirements for possible systems enablement (automation)

  • Assists with the analysis, evaluation, and recommendation of software/hardware for operational business changes

  • Write, debug, test, and execute ad-hoc SQL scripts

  • Coordinate project tasks, resources, and schedules.

  • BSA & Senior BSA-Entry Level Duties Plus Additional Responsibilities

Successful Candidate Must Have:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent discipline

  • Associate BSA: 2 years of experience

  • BSA: 4 years of experience

  • Senior BSA: 8 years of experience and Bachelor’s Degree

  • Additional experience may be considered in lieu of Associate or Bachelor's degree

  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Preferences: Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications at an advanced level, contract and vendor management experience (RFP), experience with software and user interface requirement, design and testing, and web application support. Strong people skills for initiative and building partnerships are a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal office environment. Some projects may require overtime and weekend work.
