Robert Half Albuquerque Personal Injury Law Clerk / Junior Attorney in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a new JD graduate or junior attorney to be based in Albuquerque, New Mexico and work with a 15-attorney personal injury law firm. The role is focused on personal injury law. The successful candidate will work in-office and will be tasked with various responsibilities spanning from client intake to case resolution. Base salary plus bonus on attorney's fees plus signing bonus. Full benefits package. Open to candidates who would like to relocate to ALB and join the New Mexico Bar.

Responsibilities:

• Regularly review and take action on out-of-standard cases in collaboration with the lead attorney

• Ensure timely resolution of cases, aiming for Full Settlement Value

• Convert clients effectively and maintain high levels of positive reviews

• Conduct intake and first meetings with clients, demonstrating compassion and noting all facts relevant to liability, damages, and coverage

• Evaluate and direct investigations to build a strong case for trial, and determine insurance coverage

• Prepare cases for trial and evaluate Full Settlement Value, obtaining necessary authorizations

• Negotiate with adjusters while keeping the client informed, and build and maintain negotiation relationships

• File suits where needed and prepare the client for litigation

• Prepare pleadings and discovery for lawsuits, and ready the case for trial, arbitration, or mediation

• Regularly review and sign correspondence drafted by team members

• Use legal software such as Case Management Software, LexisNexis, and Management System for efficient case handling and documentation.

Requirements

• Possess a JD and be licensed in at least one State or open to seeking your license in New Mexico

• Proficiency in Case Management Software, Legal software, and LexisNexis

• Excellent skills in briefing, civil litigation, and claim administration

• Experience in complaint handling and documentation

• Knowledge of personal injury plaintiffs law preferred

• Proficient in trial preparation including vis aids, models, and mockups

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrable ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
