Description We are on the lookout for a meticulous and efficient Accounting Manager/Supervisor to be a part of our team situated in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The primary role of this position involves managing daily accounting tasks such as posting journal entries, assisting with invoice allocations, completing month-end tasks, and preparing department payroll.

Responsibilities:

• Handle various tasks within the scope of payroll and accounting due to the dynamic environment

• Adhere to the month-end close schedule to meet month-end close tasks

• Assist with monthly accruals as needed

• Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations

• Allocate invoices for Accounts Payable

• Prepare AR transactions and process customer payments

• Record Weekly Payroll Expenses via Journal Entry

• Collaborate with the Fleet Manager and Controller to audit fixed assets

• Assist Department Heads with Payroll Preparation

• Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions

• Compute wages and deductions then enter data in computers

• Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records

• Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system

• Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records

• Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and maintain and update payroll records

• Provide input in the improvement, and maintenance of automated time and attendance payroll systems

• Alter employee tax status as needed as well as any information needed for withholdings

• Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases

• Keep track of leave of time, such as vacation, personal, and sick leave for employees

• Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, benefit plans, and collective agreement provisions

• Keep current on payroll law by attending seminars, networking, newsletters, and networking

• Provide assistance in administering employee benefit programs and worker’s compensation plans

• Prepare and set up for new employee orientations. Requirements

• Highschool diploma required. Preferred bachelor's degree in accounting or business

• Candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the accounting field.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems is a must.

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience with accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Experience with billing functions is essential.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks and Intacct software is required.

• Experience in payroll and timekeeping processes is essential.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and month-end close procedures is necessary.
