We are currently hiring a Production Supervisor for our Chemical Operations Department at our manufacturing plant in Millersburg, Oregon. This is a rotational shift, rotating days and nights, 12 hours shifts. You will be instrumental in ensuring efficiencies as this department is the starting point of making exotic metals. A Supervisor will be a facilitator and a master problem solver and can trouble shoot systems and equipment. Leading these processes and strategies ensure that we are achieving conformance and producing quality product that meets our customer requirements and ATI goals and objectives.
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of 10-20 direct reports with diverse personalities. You will be responsible for the health and safety of the individuals on the floor, applying a continuous improvement focus, training, coaching, motivating, and leading the employees. This individual is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Department when there are issues, issuing hot work permits, overseeing the environmental pollution controls systems, and ensure our scrubbers and processes are running smoothly.
In order to become successful and provide immediate impact, you will have to quickly learn ATI, the Chemical Operations Department, processes, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including a unionized workforce, engineering, quality, and safety. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, a continuous improvement mindset, the ability to act quickly and make impactful decisions, and exceptional interpersonal skills are included in the skillset of a successful Supervisor.
Primary Responsibilities
Plan and direct department activities to obtain safe and efficient operations.
Apply Leadership skills to lead, motivate and train personnel.
Monitor processes and tasks in order to identify problems and improvement opportunities.
Identify, plan and lead improvement events.
Interpret and enforce policies while maintaining the provisions of the labor agreement.
Drive right fist time initiatives.
Monitor and coordinate training to ensure tasks are completed as required by standard work and work instructions.
Ensure strict adherence to both internal and external customer requirements and production schedules.
