We are excited to offer a $1,500 Sign On Bonus to NEW Full-Time Teaching Assistants joining our Langan School.
We are searching for Teaching Assistants to join our agency.
The Teaching Assistant will work in various areas such as Autism/Crisis, Visually and Hearing impaired classrooms. The successful candidates will be joining the Langan School, centrally located in the city of Albany. The Langan School (a program of the Center for Disability Services) is a private, non-profit school for students with severe disabilities between the ages of 5 and 21. This is a 10 month program, with a mandatory six week summer program
Responsibilities:
Assist the teacher with activities designed to address student’s needs as outlined on their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Duties may include preparing classroom materials, direct instruction of students, and custodial care of students.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED required; college credits preferred.
Will be required to obtain their NYS Teaching Assistant Certification
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
The compensation range for this position is $18.84 to $22.16. Rate of pay is commensurate on experience.
