UNIVERSAL Technologies, LLC Senior PeopleSoft HR Systems Architect in Albany, New York

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Senior PeopleSoft HR Systems Architect for a position in Albany, NY. The position offers up to 100% remote work, contingent on performance, with occasional onsite work required. Light travel for initial onboarding, offboarding, and emergencies may be necessary; travel costs should be included in the candidate's rate.

Position: The Senior Solutions Architect will develop technical strategies to enhance HR systems while maximizing PeopleSoft capabilities, limiting customizations, and increasing interoperability. The Senior Solutions Architect will be responsible for identifying technical options and implementation strategies for requirements that are not efficiently delivered by PeopleSoft configurations. This role requires a deep understanding of PeopleSoft implementation and experience with developing technical solutions that streamline workflows and improve data reliability.

    MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Sciences, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred but not required.

  • 6+ years of relevant experience.

  • PeopleSoft implementation experience.

  • Ability to identify technical options and implementation strategies for requirements not efficiently delivered by PeopleSoft configurations.

  • Experience in developing technical solutions to enhance interoperability, streamline workflows, and eliminate duplicate data entry.

    SCOPE OF SERVICES:

  • Participate in finalizing business requirements and develop a firm understanding of the needs.

  • Finalize functional and technical requirements.

  • Document legacy system architecture, as needed.

  • Develop strategies to enhance interoperability of existing PeopleSoft systems, increase data reliability, and streamline workflows.

  • Develop technical solutions to deliver existing and new functionality while reducing PeopleSoft customizations.

  • Participate in prototype and proof of concept exercises.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline interfaces to PeopleSoft and other applications.

  • Document the to-be architecture considering state shared services, enterprise standards, and security requirements.

  • Participate in project, workstream, and sprint planning to sequence system enhancements and new functionality for ITS business owners.

  • Develop artifacts to support software development life cycle standards.

  • Provide support for program governance and project management efforts.

  • Create prototypes and proof of concept exercises.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mandatory ITS Security Agreements and Fingerprint-based Background Check.

  • All contractors must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and schedule fingerprinting upon engagement initiation.
