Summary

The Medicaid Program Advisor would have a leadership role in developing and monitoring the Quality Strategy within the Bureau of Health Access, Policy, and Innovation (BHAPI) in the Department of Health’s Medicaid program. BHAPI is tasked with developing and maintaining theQuality Strategy (https://www.health.ny.gov/health_care/medicaid/data_rpts/quality_strategy.htm) , a roadmap for ensuring high quality Medicaid and CHPlus programs. The position involves developing the Strategy by identifying top goals, objectives, and measures and creating a written report like the one linked above. The Quality Strategy highlights work being done in the Medicaid and CHPlus programs while identifying room for improvement. The position would involve a high level of organization, comfortability speaking with various groups, and strong writing skills. The quality strategy involves tracking quality measures over time, so some experience with data or quality measurement is preferred.

Basic Qualifications

• Healthcare experience in program policy, Medicaid preferred

• Strong writing and communication skills for diverse materials and audiences required

• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Familiarity/experience with quality measurement, preferred

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

1. Bachelor’s degree required.

2. Eight (8) or more years of experience in health care related field to include research, health care policy, Behavioral Health, Substance Use Disorders, or Intellectual and/or Developmental Disability, and quality monitoring or improvement projects.

Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
