Job Summary

  • In accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values; The Perinatal Childbirth Educator/Lamaze Coach will provide virtual, online or classroom instruction for people of childbearing ages and their support persons in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. The Perinatal Childbirth Educator/Lamaze Coach, functions in the spirit of teamwork with other divisional staff members, to coordinate the perinatal education curriculum and instruct those classes/tours. Perinatal Childbirth Educator/Lamaze Coach assist parents in the process of making the transition from the role of expectant parents to the role of parents capable of caring for themselves and their newborns.

Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Education: Graduate from a school of nursing or degree/certification in a health care related field.

  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN Licensure required or Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator Certification (LCCE).

  • Experience: Previous experience in perinatal nursing or childbirth education.

  • Effective Communication Skills

  • Ability to travel to multiple locations.

  • Ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and always exhibits professionalism.

Pay range: $35.80 - $53.70. Pay is based on education and experience.
