FUNCTION & SCOPE:

Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology Services & CIO, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing various IT projects within the organization. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. The IT Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables, as well as manage project resources, risks, and timelines.

DUTIES:

  • Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.

  • Lead project kickoff meetings to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather information on project tasks and build a detailed project plan with timelines taking into consideration resource availability.

  • Assign tasks to project team members, follow up on the status at regular intervals, and ensure accountability for deliverables.

  • Monitor project progress and track key milestones against the project plan.

  • Identify, document, and mitigate project risks and issues in a timely manner.

  • Communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders and management.

  • Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, address challenges, and make decisions.

  • Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.

  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure that project requirements are met, and solutions are delivered effectively.

  • Create dashboards to show progress on individual projects and projects overall in a given period and present them to the management and leadership.

  • Create presentations that outline high-level summary of projects to varied stakeholder groups.

  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party resources as needed.

  • Facilitate project closure activities, including documentation, lessons learned, and handover to support teams.

  • Prepare the supporting materials and lead the work prioritization sessions with stakeholder groups to prioritize initiatives related to Information Technology.

  • Responsible for drafting, collaborating, and finalizing departmental communications.

  • Responsible for oversight of service requests.

    Job Requirements:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects on time and within budget.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project or Team Dynamix)

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Compensation for this position: The compensation for this role is between $101,000 to $120,000. The pay will depend on a variety of factors that may include but are not limited to experience, education, training, and certifications.
