The incumbent will ensure information security access management, processes and industry standards are followed and maintained. The incumbent may assist Albany County Division of Information Servicespersonnel with identifying and troubleshooting issues relating to information security. Employees in this classification are tasked with assisting administration with internal investigations. Work is performed under the general supervision. Does related work as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EITHER:A. Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least a Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Resources Management, Information Technology or a closely related field, and two (2) years of work experience in information technology, which included, or was closely related to, two (2) of the eight (8) domains of information security; OR,B. Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, InformationResources Management, Information Technology or a closely related field, and four (4) years of work experience in information technology, two (2) years ofwhich included, or was closely related to, two (2) of the eight (8) domains of information security.NOTES:• The following are the eight (8) domains of information security: 1. Security and Risk Management; 2. Asset Security; 3. Security Engineering; 4. Communication and Network Security; 5. Identity and Access Management; 6. Security Assessment and Testing; 7. Security Operations; and, 8. Software DevelopmentSecurity.• Certifications in the domains of information security, such as SSCP, CCSP, CAP, CSSLP, CCFP, or HCISPP, may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.Please submit a copy of your resume and transcript with this application. The HELP Program is a temporary program designed to help local government employersaddress current staffing issues. For the duration of the program, this title will beclassified as non-competitive and categorized as a “HELP Program” position. At the close of the program, this position will revert to competitive class status. Employees occupying positions filled through the HELP Program will be granted competitive class status without the need to participate in a competitive exam.
