Job SummaryThe DC Power Technician is offered the opportunity to work outdoors, and on the ground, (no tower work). This key role is responsible for the preparation of hardware and/or equipment before installation, equipment Installation of DC Power, BDFB's, Batteries, Rectifiers and Grounding. They will perform voltage, resistance tests and minor trouble shooting of equipment such as rectifiers, disconnects, power and battery plants and other duties as required to properly maintain and operate the site within the specified requirements.ResponsibilitiesInstall and turn-up of DC Power Equipment, BDFB's, Telecom Batteries, Rectifiers and Grounding, Performing voltage, Continuity, and Resistance tests.Document procedures for hardware and software installation and use.Document technical specifications and operating standards for telecommunications equipment.Technician will be required to work in live AC and DC power cabinets, enclosures, and equipment.RequirementsPreferred SkillsAbility to:Use muliti-meter and other diagnostic tools to properly diagnose alarm conditions and proper equipment turn up.Analyse job specifications, scope of work, and construction drawings.Use basic hand and power tools.Follow safety standards.Safely operate company tools and vehicles.Travel within the region weekly.Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED.DC Power certification.AC Electrical experience.OSHA 10, or OSHA 30 Certification is a plus.Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record per company standard.Computer skills - (outlook, excel, teams, word etc.).Experience with:Working under Verizon IP72202, AT&T TP76300, GR1275.Trouble shooting.Deka Unigy Batteries, GE Infinity NE-M Power Plants, Commscope Powershift, and Raycap OVP.Vertiv, Emerson, Lorrain, and Galaxy controllers.Provisioning powerplant controllers.Fiber optic cabling experience.Working away from home.Work Environment & Physical Demands:The employee must be able and willing to travel locally to reach customer and network locations or local events and regularly work in outdoor weather conditions. Days and hours of work are Generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m, evening or weekend work may be requested at any given time for emergency response. An appropriate level of communication about expected hours of work between the employee and supervisor will be agreed to as part of the discussion process and will be more formal during the trial period. With on call duties as assigned relating to ANS Advanced Network Services user issues after hours', weekends, and holidays.

Minimum Salary: 50,000 Maximum Salary: 100,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
