Catering Laborer - fulltime, temporary, seasonal (H-2B) jobs available 03/15/25-12/31/25

Employer: Seasons Catering, LLC, 17 Walker Way, Albany, NY 12205.

Duties: Preparing for events: Set tables with forks, salad forks, knives, fold napkins, place water glasses. Set up for a buffet: place table cloths, decorations and serving dishes. Serve a plate dinner: salads, dinner, clear plates, refill water glasses, serve dessert and coffee. Also pass hors d'oeuvres if required on event to guests. Clean up after every event, breaking down tables. Wash all dishes and assist chefs with cleaning all pots, pans and silverware. Put everything away after being washed. Types of foods that the employee will be precooking: employees will work chopping vegetables, prepping and plating salad, peeling potatoes, prepare and grill proteins including steak, beef and chicken. They will be cooking street tacos, grilling cheeseburgers and hot dogs and cooking BBQ chicken. Workers will assist serving plated dinner plates for example a chicken dish with a vegetable and starch such as mashed potato.

Must be able to lift 70lbs.

Employer will provide transportation at no cost to employee to multiple work sites in Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga, Rensselaer and Warren Counties from central meeting point.

No education required. No experience required.

Work Hours: Days Mon-Sat, 7am-5pm. 40 hours per week at $18.12/hour. Possible 0-10 hours OT at $27.18/hr.

A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Wednesday. All deductions from the workers paycheck required by law will be made.

Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).

Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
