POSITION SUMMARYThe Supervisor for Powerworks is responsible for the supervision of custodial team members and making sure that all assigned/designated facilities meet contract requirements. The Supervisor directs and coordinates job activities of the janitorial service contracts to ensure contract goals are accomplished per specifications. The individual in this role should display a high degree of customer service with Base personnel, sound judgment, confidentiality, diplomacy and an ability to maintain an environment of structure and a consistently high level of productivity. The individual in this role will also be responsible for administrative duties as required for the successful supervision of teams assigned.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Establish a work schedule to ensure assignments are completed.
Assign and distribute work teams to designated work locations.
Maintain staff schedules and verify time in the HRIS system on daily basis.
Ensure quality control practices are in place and practiced.
Supervise, train and oversee janitorial and floor care conducted by staff.
Communicate with and maintain strong working relationship with customer.
Read, interpret and understand the contract requirements.
Ensure standards for quality of services are met and conduct quality assurance and inspection checks as specified in contract.
Maintain a system for equipment, tools and supplies inventory and storage.
Develop and distribute daily inspection reports, direct staff to resolve any problems reported.
Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used.
Maintain a system for security and loss prevention.
Maintain property keys, unlock trailers and open office daily.
Records all cleaning materials and supplies needed to perform the assigned tasks.
Promotes safety awareness among employees and clients. Ensures that hazardous working conditions are avoided.
Prepares accident and injury reports as needed for the purpose of following district procedures.
Ensure equipment properly cleaned and store at the end of the shift.
Ensure that before and after operator maintenance is performed on all equipment.
All other duties and projects as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); required.
Some college or technical school; preferred.
Minimum two (2) years previous leadership experience in a position or related role; required.
Experience working with disabled persons (preferred).
Must have experience with adhering to policies and guidelines and initiating discipline, counseling and motivation.
