The Opportunity: This position works for the Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) division where we’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

Primary Role: The Lead Postmarket Surveillance Data Scientist will work with complaint, sales, and manufacturing data, using this information to draw conclusions and assist with tracking and trending investigations. They will create automated reports for regulatory inquiries and develop Power BI dashboards for metric and product performance oversight.

  • May provide oversight to one or more QA professionals and/or contractors.

  • Scope limited to one specific QA function, but has general knowledge of other related disciplines.

  • Interacts with employees, manager, and cross-functional peers.

  • May represent team on cross-functional project teams with other functional leaders.

  • Implements tactical activities related to assignment.

  • Able to contribute functional skills and expertise broadly.

  • Directly influences project direction and scope.

  • May lead projects within function.

  • Decisions may have short and long term impact.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI, and Power Automate.

  • Strong analytical skills with a solid foundation in programming and database environments.

  • Experience in creating data-driven stories that address strategic business questions.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally to design systems that support deep analysis.

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data analytics/science in a relevant industrial or academic setting.

  • Strong understanding of data analytics, structured and unstructured data analysis, predictive modeling techniques, and data visualization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics.

  • MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or similar technical disciplines/experience.

The base pay for this position is $95,500.00 – $190,900.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
