Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Alachua, Florida (Onsite Position) Department: Finance Reports To: Accounts Payable Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage and process invoices, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate records. Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies before processing payment. Individuals should be able to handle AP for multiple locations and high invoice volumes.

  • Payment Execution: Prepare and execute payments.

  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions and ensure that supporting documentation is correctly filed.

  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and accounts, addressing any discrepancies promptly.

  • Vendor Communication: Communicate with vendors to resolve any payment issues or discrepancies and maintain positive relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.

  • Experience: Previous experience in an Accounts Payable, specifically handling multiple locations, and a high invoice volume preferred.

  • Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams.

  • Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
