Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care STNA - PRN Shifts in Akron, Ohio

As a State Tested Nursing Assistant, you will have the honor of being present during some of the most vulnerable times in the lives of patients and their families. Working as a vital part of our team, STNAs are essential in maintaining the highest standards of care. You will be the eyes and ears of our interdisciplinary team, providing crucial insights and quick responses to urgent needs. In our Even More Care program, quick-response STNAs address immediate physical or psychosocial needs and offer companionship during the active stages of dying.

STNA Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  • Must have completed an Ohio State Department of Health Competency Test from an accredited program with a minimum requirement of 75 hours of certification

  • Must be certified by the state as a nurses' aide with an unrestricted, active aide certification

  • 1 year of current experience as a Hospice Aide or Nurses Aide is required

  • Hospice or Home Health Agency experience preferred

  • Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and their families, as well as all interdisciplinary caregivers, peers, subordinates, and supervisors

  • Must exhibit or demonstrate the ability to learn computer skills related to required clinical software and electronic clinical record utilization

  • Must have reliable vehicle/transportation, valid driver's license, required automobile insurance, and the ability to safely and independently operate said vehicle

STNA Schedule & Benefits:

  • PRN for Evenings, and Weekends

  • Travel to the office located in Green, Ohio, is required. Serving patients throughout 9 counties in Northeast Ohio as part of the emergent care team.
